Bridal Shower Games
Bridal showers, like brides themselves, come in every shade of the rainbow. Themes range from oozing sentimentality to loose, wet, and wild. The same holds true for bridal shower games. Here is a list of some great bridal shower games that will fit most themes. These are all really fun as they are, but bridal shower games can always be altered to better fit your crowd or style.

Pin the Kiss on the Face
I modified this game for my sister's bridal shower (let's just say I cleaned it up a little). Blow up a picture of the bride, and hang it on a wall. One person goes at a time. Apply a very loud shade of lipstick, and blind-fold the victim, er, guest. Spin her around once or twice, and see how close she can get to giving the bride a smooch!
Who Am I?
Prepare nametags with names of famous people (this can be actors, politicians, authors, athletes, whatever is crowd-appropriate). As the guests arrives, pin a nametag on each guest's back. Then the fun begins. People have to go around asking the other party members yes or no questions to figure out exactly who they are! We're talking major identity crisis here! This is fun with people who already know each other, and also makes a great icebreaker for those who don't.
Jell-O Shooters
This belongs in the bridal shower games for drinkers' category. Line up a row of shot glasses. Prepare Jell-O shots prior to the shower (better make a lot, some people will miss on purpose just to get a free shot!) Here's how to play the game. The contestant is given a small pompom (you know those fuzzy little multi-colored balls you used to make projects from as a kid). She must shoot the pompom into the shot glass from across the table. The closest glass will, obviously be the easiest to reach, but things get really entertaining as guests try (and fail) to sink these little balls of fuzz into further glasses. And, of course, for each time you miss, you have to do a shot. Designated drivers will have the most fun with this one!
Complete Set of Plates
This isn't really a game, more like a theme, but I thought it was so clever I had to put it in. Hate cleaning up after a fun party? Well, host your next bridal shower in a ceramic store! Let the bride choose a nice color pattern, and have each guest paint a bowl, plate, or cup that pattern. On the bottom of the ceramic piece, guests can personalize their project with a name, phrase, or picture that will remind the bride of her. Everything is given to the bride as a set of casual dinnerware. Isn't that so great?!
Scavenger Hunt
Here's one of the craziest bridal shower games you will ever play! You can vary this in so many different ways. Take your group to a mall or a bar or a park etc. Divide them into teams (how many will be determined by the amount of people in your party), and give each team a list of items they need to procure. Be as creative as you can with this list. Ask for the signature of a man named Saul, or the bus ticket of an elderly woman (careful not to scare people, or attract too much attention. You don't want someone calling the cops on you!) Party guests should also be creative with their interpretations of the list. For example, if the list asks for a set of teeth, they can either get some senior citizen to fork over their dentures, or find a hair comb. The more varied the list, the more fun this game will be. The group with the most items found at the end of the allotted time wins. Good luck!
They Say What?
Know of anyone engaged to a Brit? Well, if so, this game is a must for you. Print out a list of common words, and put a blank line next to each one. Guests have to see how many words they can "translate" into British. This game will leave your friends thinking 'I thought I knew English!'
The Party Crasher
Here's another hilarious stunt you can pull at your next bridal shower. Tell a neighbor or friend who no one knows to come to the shower (she should enter later than the majority of the guests, it's funnier that way!) Have her take some food, mingle with some of the guests, and sit down in the circle of invited partygoers. A few minutes into the gag, have her turn to the person sitting next to her and ask who the bride is. After pointing out the bride, have your bride, clasp her hand to her mouth (or some other form of shock), seem very embarrassed, and jump up to leave while muttering something about the wrong bridal shower. A good added effect is for her to 'accidentally' spill out the contents of her purse when she jumps up to leave. You can give your guests a few minutes to talk about the embarrassing scene, and how they'd die if that happened to them. A little while later, invite your friend back in, and let everyone know it was just a prank! (*For an added challenge, you can play a memory game with this one. After you reveal the true identity of the party crasher, give everyone pens and paper, and have them write down as many items that fell from the purse as they can remember. This is a really cute twist, and it's a fun test of memory, as well!)
Quickies
Here are a few last minute ideas that can still give your party a little life. Purse weighing contest is a funny of the cuff game. See which guest has the heaviest purse (and find out what the heck she keeps in there!) Put different spices into Styrofoam cups, and cover them with tin foil. Cut a slit in the top for guests to catch a whiff of the aroma. See how many guests can differentiate the fragrance of all the spices. Remember When We… is one of the funnier last minute bridal shower games. Have each guest write a funny story that they shared with the bride. Give all the papers to the bride, let her read one at a time out loud and guess who wrote the anecdote. If you're having a bathroom-themed shower, this is particularly cute. Buy a plastic shower curtain, and let each guest sign it with a personal message to the bride. Then she'll remember all of you each time she's in the tub! Enjoy all these fun and entertaining bridal shower games!
