Play Chess CBS

Would you like to hear an astounding fact? Over 45 million people in the US play chess, and, what's more amazing, more than half those people are children! Isn't that wild? If you are one of those 45 million, and you are looking for a good competitive chess game, then play chess CBS. This is a great venue to play a fun and challenging chess game online. There are several options to choose from when you play chess CBS. You can join in on an open game, allowing you to play with anyone ready to start. If nobody is currently waiting for an opponent, then you will have to wait until someone joins your game (don't worry, though, there are so many people who want to play chess CBS that it is unusual to be kept waiting long).

Once another person has joined your game, both players click the YES tab, and the game has begun. There is a chat option available for this mode that let's you have a conversation with your opponent using pre-selected phrases. Another option available on CBS chess is creating your own private game. This allows you to start your own game, and invite a friend to join you. You can invite up to four friends into a game. With this option, conversation is open, so you can talk to your friends freely (i.e. type your own text instead of choosing from the list of phrases). The final gaming option when you play chess CBS is playing against the computer. This mode pits your skills against that of the computer's, possibly the most challenge choice of all. Can you beat the machine? Play chess CBS to find out!

When you play chess CBS you also receive a short review of the basics of chess (for those of us who haven't touched the game in a few years). CBS goes through the movements for each piece and common terms you will find in a typical game of chess. You can read these before you begin play, and refer back to them at any point during the game.

CBS chess is not just another chess game; it is an experience. The 3-D chessboard and pieces are excellent graphics that truly bring the game to life before your very eyes. Charging and capturing an opponent's piece brings on new meaning and excitement when the game is not flat and one dimensional, as with many computer-oriented chess games. The difficulty level of CBS chess is also an outstanding feature. I was surprised with the speed and expertise of many of the counters for my carefully thought-out plans. Created with some of the most skilled and intricate strategies chess has to offer, this game is a suitable challenge for all, even the highly experienced chess player. Beating the machine is a veritable challenge on CBS chess.

If you are not into commercials, you can skip the thirty-second blips that run while the program is loading. If you want to laugh, though, most of these ads are for just that. Easy to pass over, I wouldn't consider this a strike against CBS chess. However, most unfortunate for all the Apple users of the world, CBS chess does not run on Macintosh computers. For those chess fans who own Macs, I guess you'll just have to hear about it from your friends. If you want my suggestion, make peace with your PC buddies, and try out CBS chess today!
